My posts regarding the petition are being removed from here and I am told by staff to stop posting petition information such as this.... http://www.petitiononline.com/gdm/petition.html

All posts that I have tried to place in the past week have been removed from here. How sad that I can not even have a voice anymore. This will probably be removed also. I am being told that I should take my feelings over to dead.net where I am also being told to stop posting about the petition. Another loss... Goodbye my digital friends, dr. flashback and others. I guess the dead are finally dead...RIP

Eric, I signed the petition and intend to send a check soon but I do wish that you'll reconsider visiting the site once in a while, (my posts have also been removed, and I didn't say anything incendiary, merely thought-provoking) all of us need to hear the voice of the loyal opposition, no matter what they have to say, no matter whether we want to hear them or not. We ignore them at our own peril.....

I am disappointed with the Archive and Grateful Dead. The collective response is "Shut up and go away". Capitalism rules so take your whiney hippie butt and go away. As in the words of Bob Weir...."See Ya!"

I personally do not understand nor enjoy any of this drama... because thats what it is, DRAMA. I do not understand how a LIVE MUSIC ARCHIVE( I CANT BOLD OR UNDERLINE, SO)... LIVE MUSIC ARCHIVE, LIVE MUSIC ARCHIVE. ARCHIVE!!!!! Last thing I knew, live music was music played at concerts or something similar... the dead were known for live performances and allowing taping of them... so, why exactly is live music being removed from the live music archive??? why exactly does the live music archive HAVE a forum if normal, pleasent, clean, and refined posts are showing up and getting removed. I understand there was some issues with the dead and whatnot, but does that really mean we should have our voices snuffed AND our SBDs undownloadable... emphasis on the AND. Really though, it is truley puzzling how live music is removed from a live music archive and how clean non offensive comments are being removed when they pertain directly to the LMA. maybe we should start posting comments about the LMA on some MSN based chat room or something. BS!! the LMA should allow comments about the LMA. same as the white house allows letters to be sent to them, we should be allowed to comment on what a good (or bad) job we think the LMA is doing in certain areas. To be honest, we all know the archive kicks ass and we all know that the day we found it we were doing back flips and skipping around our house wondering how the hell we found such a diamond in the rough. i suppose this is just one of those things that you need to look at from there shoes. ill try to do that now: 'im offering live music to people for free for the purpose of archiving it. one band has an enormous percentage of the music that is archived. maybe we should make a seperate site for that band.' seems to make sense, but it seems to make more sense to make the archive and the LMA not connected with each other. this way all the posts on a message board WILL BE about music and wont be interfering with teachers looking for books and such. i thank everyone that has worked on the LMA and the archive in general. cant you please just give us the freedom to express our feelings in a way where we honestly feel like we are being payed attention to... not having our suggestions, requests, pleas(pl ease?), and complaints being deleted and wasting our time for posting them in the first place. notice i am talking about appropriate posts. if it is inappropriate then just delete it and if it gets too bad contact the person about removing their account. i may not have had much time to develop a foolproof plan or something, but off the top of my head i think of solutions that seem to be more effective then what looks to be going down in the near future. please listen and understand that the LMA IS our time machine... we love it and dont want to lose it. thanks. bill. singingguy@gmail.com
